Long ago from the distant past there came a legion of cats called The Thundercats These weren't your run-of-the-mill kitties; they were lithe, razor-sharp clawed and indomitable creatures. Thundera was a magical land, overseen by the kind-hearted King Claudus.
Until one day when an evil sorcerer named Mumm-Ra decided that he wanted to take over Thundera. The Mutants and their master the Warlock wreaked havoc across the land. Upon realizing that the Starship would soon be within striking distance of their home, it was clear to the Thundercats they had no choice but to fight for what has always meant most them.
However, the Thundercats had some help of their own. A group of young warriors-in-training, as well: fighters who ached to earn their names and protect Thundera from the forces that threatened it. The Thundercats were Lion-O, Tygra, Cheetara and of course the twins in WilyKit and WilyKat who all wanted to show their valor as young warriors.
The Thundercats and the young warriors engaged in relentless practice for the upcoming battle. They trained in warfare, they learned to hunt perfectly and discovered how important unity is when all the odds are against them. They made it abundantly clear that for them to prevail over the wickedness of Mumm-Ra, they must join forces.
While the Thundercats tirelessly prepared for their final showdown, Mumm-Ra continued to visit wretchedness and despair upon Thundera through his Mutants. Entire villages were attacked, resources looted and fear governed force. Time was running out, and the Thundercats knew they had to act fast if disaster was to be averted.
The Thundercats faced off against Mumm-Ra and the dark side, joined by Totem spirit of 5 young warriors in a battle to determine the fate of mankind. The fighting was heavy, and both suffered severe casualties. But through the strength of their wills, and steadfast courage, The Thundercats were able to win against Mumm-Ra & his minions in a fierce battle preserving thundera from complete annihilation.
